Hello! I’m transitioning to AI creations, a journey I started last year. I studied Organic Architecture with Chris Carr while pursuing a Minor at ArtCenter College of Design in Pasadena, California, majoring in Graphic Design and Packaging. Given the pressing issues of global warming and climate change, I can't help but think about the environmental challenges we will face in the near future.

During my late teens and early adulthood, I homesteaded in the Emerald Triangle of Northern California, where I learned firsthand what it takes to live off the land. My updated portfolio focuses on utilizing AI to find solutions for design problems I foresee. I aim to leverage AI as a tool for tackling real-world challenges, including those related to the environment and human experience, while also carrying new ideas that avoid just repeating what has already been done.

I have a deep appreciation for the work of Frank Lloyd Wright, Charles Ray Eames, Walter Gropius, Le Corbusier, Japanese architecture, and other concepts that emphasize harmony with nature, wood construction, minimalism, and a balance between traditional techniques and modern innovation. Growing up in Yokohama, Japan, I often played behind 1000-year-old wooden temples, where I caught freshwater crabs. This mix of the old and the new has greatly influenced my perspective.

My approach to branding and creative direction is unique as I blend marketing objectives with effective design to enhance brand awareness. I offer a range of services, including conceptual graphic design, copywriting, advertising campaigns, and brand development for businesses, educational institutions, and events.

I specialize in creating logos, brochures, catalogs, posters, websites, and other marketing materials. I strive to bring a broad spectrum of ideas to every project to ensure optimal results. In addition to the overall branding strategy, I enjoy working on product packaging, illustration, and designing children’s books and textbooks. I have had the privilege of collaborating with incredible organizations such as McGraw-Hill Higher Education, Osborne McGraw-Hill, the World Wildlife Fund, and Dilbert Books as an illustrator and cover designer.

My Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from ArtCenter College of Design has provided me with a solid foundation for my work. I am fluent in both English and Japanese, and I enjoy spending time in nature, taking photos, rescuing animals, raising monarch butterflies, and exploring yard sales and distant places.

WATCH NEGISHI HEIGHTS, YOKOHAMA, JAPAN
WATCH HOW EARTHQUAKES MOVE
I'm a Designer who loves Photography.
I shoot pictures almost every day. Whenever I see something interesting, I snap a shot to capture it. It's not always easy to get a good picture with an iPhone camera, but sometimes I get extraordinary shots. There are so many interesting things to discover, and I want to capture the moment so I can share them.

My photographs are of moments of beauty or the appearance of good design. Anything that caught my eye and is relevant to my interests. I don't have any reservations about what I shoot; it's all intuitive.

When I was about ten years old, we lived in a U.S. military base in Yokohama, Japan. The housing area called *Negishi Heights* was located on top of this mountain, and it was one of the most beautiful military bases in Far East Asia. The lush rolling landscape and homes scattered spaciously resembled any small town in America and were somewhat unknown in the heart of Japan. With the limited land mass in Japan, this style of living doesn’t exist in Japan. Negishi was a beautiful, small military housing community that was one big family.

There I stood in my front yard, that day when I was looking at the view, and suddenly I became aware that a seismic wave was moving towards me from a distance. It was bizarre watching homes riding the massive land waves of what resembled a carpet roll as it was soon under my feet and kept going past me, and the homes were moving along the tops of the rolls as it flowed away as far as I could see. "It was incredible that I witnessed this all by myself."I was positioned on top of a hill looking down, so my view went far into the distance. There was no rumble or shake. It was quiet. (And I did not imagine this.) That moment changed my life.

There were many more experiences like this throughout my life, and every time it happened, I wished that someone was there with me to experience this or that I had a video camera to film this. So in any event, I learned to be prepared for anything.

My photographs are of moments of beauty or the appearance of good design. Anything that caught my eye and is relevant to my interests. I don’t have any reservations about what I may shoot; it’s just all intuitive.
